What our ultra selective editor chose this week …!
Spring, also known as springtime, is one of the four temperate seasons, succeeding winter and preceding summer. There are various technical definitions of spring, but local usage of the term varies according to local climate, cultures and customs.
Spring and “springtime” refer to the season, and also to ideas of rebirth, rejuvenation, renewal, resurrection and regrowth. Subtropical and tropical areas have climates better described in terms of other seasons, e.g. dry or wet, monsoonal or cyclonic. Cultures may have local names for seasons which have little equivalence to the terms originating in Europe.
As we may all have had a difficult winter, let’s try to think pink and add some of it to our routine.
It is definitely needed more than ever..!
“Time was passing like a hand waving from a train I wanted to be on… I hope you never have to think about anything as much as I think about you.”
— Jonathan Safran Foer
Regardless of your age or where you are in life right now, perhaps you will generally resonate with my thoughts here – some things I don’t want to regret down the road…
Life is moments…!

Every time Chanel presents a new collection , I feel like being in a place of a special celebration..!
This season, Chanel’s creative director Virginie Viard , designed for a marriage party composed of her haute couture cabine, some 32 models in all.
These are not, as Viard says, the conventional fancy nuptials one might expect from a Parisian couture collection, but instead “more bohemian style—more a wedding or a family celebration in a village than at the Ritz!” complete with “the mother and the aunt, [and] the 15-year-old girl dressing up for the first time”—the latter in a tiny little grown-up black dress of spangled black tulle worn with 1980s opaque white tights.
“Without unity, there is no peace, only bitterness and fury; no progress, only exhausting outrage; no nation, only a state of chaos,” Joe Biden declared after taking the Presidential oath on 20 January. “This is our historic moment of crisis and challenge. And unity is the path forward. And we must meet this moment as the United States of America.”

Here are my affirmations & suggestions for a better 2021…
An incredible recipe from by mum’s cookery book …!
Vasilopita is the highlight of the season’s festivities for me. The special dessert is named after St Basil, a very wealthy and generous man living in Cappadocia in the 4th century who, as the story goes, decided to distribute his fortune to those in need, by making small pies and hiding money or jewellry in each one of them.
On New Year’s Day in Greece and in many European countries, families cut the Vasilopita (New Year’s white cake) to bless the house and bring good luck for the new year.
This is usually done at the midnight of New Year’s Eve. A coin is hidden in the cake by slipping it into the dough after baking. At midnight the sign of the cross is etched with a knife across the cake. A piece of cake is sliced for each member of the family and any visitors present at the time, as well as for Saints or whomever else the household wants to honour, by order of age from eldest to youngest.
Whoever finds the coin is supposed to have good luck for the rest of the year .
Wishing every one of you a very Happy New Year for 2021.
If looking on the bright side feels harder than usual right now, you’re not alone. After a turbulent year, people are feeling tired, jaded, and in dire need of a spring in their step – and with no immediately obvious remedy in sight.
Taking a proactive approach to positive thinking is, however, important for our health.
Here are my recommendations to ensure that your year ahead in 2021 is exactly what you want it to be.
