Building on the elegance and delicate femininity for which the Ralph & Russo house is renowned, the collection celebrates Spring and its connotations of regeneration and rebirth.
The elegance of Chinese calligraphy is referenced in the hand-painted peonies and tulips, which appear in sapphire, blush pink and lavender grey. Organza petal appliqué glistens alongside crystal dewdrops on three-dimensional silk threadwork.
Directly from Paris Fashion Week, “Enter India” by Elie Saab was a dedicated story to the glory and elegance of the subcontinent, while the muse of his new couture collection, the notes went on to explain, was a turn-of-the-last-century Englishwoman on a trip there.
