Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo  presented their Spring – Summer Couture Collection.

Building on the elegance and delicate femininity for which the Ralph & Russo house is renowned, the collection celebrates Spring and its connotations of regeneration and rebirth.

The elegance of Chinese calligraphy is referenced in the hand-painted peonies and tulips, which appear in sapphire, blush pink and lavender grey. Organza petal appliqué glistens alongside crystal dewdrops on three-dimensional silk threadwork.

Chanel’s Paris-Rome Metiers d’Art show was “a breathtaking tour de force, revealing Karl Lagerfeld’s complete mastery of the language of fashion,” said Bazaar‘s editor-in-chief, Justine Picardie. “He took Sixties Rive Gauche Parisian style to a filmic fantasy of Rome, and made it look utterly alluring – and also completely modern.”
