Just a week after announcing a cartoon collaboration, Karl Lagerfeld is bringing even more playful spirit to his eponymous stores. The designer is launching a new line for children, Women’s Wear Dailyreports.
The 81-year-old is teaming with Groupe CWF, which also produces kids’ lines for Burberry, Marc Jacobs, and Chloé, for his bi-annual collection, which will debut next year. The line will feature clothing and accessories for newborns through 16-year-old girls and boys, according to Grazia.
“The announcement reflects the brand’s ongoing commitment to newness and will allow Karl Lagerfeld to share its ironic, playful, creative vision to a young audience,” the brand said in a press release.
Lagerfeld doesn’t have children of his own, but is a proud godfather to pint-size model Hudson Kroenig (pictured above), who has walked many of his runways in the past. Little North West even sported a custom-made Chanel cardigan and bag, with Lagerfeld’s blessing. Looks like there are two spokesmodels Karl can count on.
