August 13, 2015

Who says you can’t take a road trip through Europe?

These are  the six most thrilling road trips in Europe . From Amalfi coast to Sorento and from La Route des Grandes Alpes to Lake Geneva, get inspired of the most beautiful Europen landscapes and prepare your next road trip with your beloved ones…

If anybody asks which one is my favourite, I wouldn’t be sure of course , but if I was asked which one would be my first trip  , that would be  Italy , Sorrento to Salerno  because sometimes I dream myself to drive an Aston Martin all the way to Amalfi coast , maybe as a character in a film of Marcello Mastroianni… It said that sometimes the imagination is the preview of our future reality…! So let’s dream …and feel ready for your next magic trip…!

There are drives that get you to your destination, and then there are drives that are the destination.

Davos, Switzerland to Trafoi, Italy

The route: At more than 9,000 feet high, the Stelvio Pass is the eastern Alps’ highest paved road, a 15-mile-long ribbon of 48 hairpin turns with spectacular mountain views.

The car: With the 2013 Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, you’ll get to 60 MPH in three seconds and still leave time for everyone to admire its low-slung frame on the turns.

Where to rent it: Europe Luxury Car Hire, Davos (europeluxurycarhire.com; starting from $1,570 a day)

Nice, France to Monte Carlo, Monaco

The route: An hour north of Nice is the famed Col de Turini, a 19-mile-long mountain pass with 34 switchbacks that test drivers as part of the annual Monte Carlo Rally.

Driving from Nice to Monte Carlo is a dream for so many reasons. First of all, if you’re prone to getting lost, this is the route for you because you’re either traveling toward Monaco or you’re in the sea. Those are your choices. For those who desperately miss watching Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, there are plenty of swanky villas and mansions to gawk at. And you’d have to be heartless not to be absolutely blown away from the view.

The car: The 1971 Lancia Fulvia HF Coupe combines the best of Italian sedan styling with rally-car performance—this model tamed the Turini in 1972 en route to a championship.

Where to rent it: Rent a Classic Car, Nice (rentaclassiccar.com; starting at $260 a day)

Bucharest to Bâlea Lake, Romania

The route: Trust us: Make the three-hour trip to the mountains, where the Transfagarasan Highway’s extra-long S curves evoke a racetrack fantasyland threading the two highest peaks in Transylvania’s southern Carpathians.

The car: Sure, you could go with a supercar, but the Audi A6 excels between 30 and 50 mph, the ideal range to accelerate out of these legendary curves.

Sorrento to Salerno, Italy

The route: Channel your inner Marcello Mastroianni on the Amalfi Coast along the southern end of the Sorrento Peninsula: Just add Ray-Bans, a pair of Canali pants, and a comely passenger.

South Italy is one of the best vacation destinations in all of Europe, and driving the Amalfi Coast will take any driver back in time, with the beautiful architecture of Italy on full display! From town to town, taking the tour of the Amalfi Coast leads travelers from one incredible destination to another.

The car: The 1967 Alfa Romeo Spider Duetto, a Pininfarina classic, is a near-perfect blend of style and substance—making this convertible the ultimate coastal roadster.

Where to rent it: Spider Life Style, Sorrento (spiderlifestyle.com; starting at $280 a day)

To be honest, I’d prefer an

Aston Martin Vanquish

which is one of my favourite cars and it would be the perfect combination with this pictureque place…

Mönchengladbach to Nürburg, Germany

The route: Take one of the straightest (read: fastest) sections of the Autobahn to practice for the challenging Nürburgring racetrack, open to any driver.

The car: A Teutonic anvil of a convertible, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster pumps out more than 500 hp with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

Where to rent it: Pegasus Group, Mönchengladbach (pegasus-rent.de; starting at $1,110 a day)

La Route des Grandes Alpes – France

The route of the High Alps, this drive takes you throughout the mountains of France. Built solely for tourists that wanted to travel a scenic route through the region, La Route des Grandes Alpes takes drivers through 4 national parks and 16 mountain passes. Make sure to enjoy the incredibly beautiful Geneva Lake, a stop on this scenic drive.
The car : The all-new 2015 BMW X6
