Sweden’s Prince Carl Philip, 36, married his bride former model and yoga teacher Sofia Hellqvist, 30, at the royal palace chapel in Stockholm in front of 300 guests. The pair has been dating since 2010 and were engaged in 2014.
The guests were decked out in their finest royal attire, with the women donning colorful ballroom gowns and looking like something out of a Disney movie.
The party continued until 5:30 am. Sofia put on a second dress, which was really Chic on her.
A banquet in the palace’s The White Sea Hall followed the ceremony. “Today I am the happiest man in the world,” Prince Carl said in his toast. “Sofia, you fill my life with love and happiness. With your love I will be able to overcome all challenges. Dear Sofia, I love you.” Both the bride and groom’s fathers spoke as well.
The wedding party and guests included the prince’s father and reigning monarch King Carl Gustaf, 69, mother Queen Silvia, 71, sister Crown Princess Victoria, the 38-year-old heir apparent, her husband Prince Daniel, 41, and their daughter, Princess Estelle, 3. Also in attendance, his pregnant sister, Princess Madeleine, 33, her husband Christopher O’Neill, 40, and their daughter, Princess Leonore, 1
Molly Sanden performed a song with lyrics written by Princess Sofia, as she will now be known. During the celebrations songs by Rihanna and Coldplay were played and a gospel choir performed. When I think about it Carl Philip and I have enough similarities here, when it comes to successfully marrying the right woman.
It is a true blessing to see how both of you bring out the best in each other. How you complement each other and how you support each other in big and small.
I also greet the family Hellqvist. By Carl Philip and Sofia there have been created new friendships King

“All I am, all I have. Until my last breath I will love you… All I have. All I want is to wake up close to you….. To be allowed to love you for all my days, with everything I have”. – Princess Sofia wrote the words of a song that was performed by a singer during the wedding reception.
“Carl Philip, I will not ask you to take care of my daughter, because she has always managed that perfectly by herself”
“Dear Carl Phlip, I remember one of our first meetings was when Marie and I were out on a motorcycle holiday and competed in a racing. I was struck even then by how kind you were and only wanted Sofia’s best.
Although we certainly had come along well… it’s funny that we share your interest in engines”
“One of the oldest memories I have of you Sofia is when we used to sail in the Stockholm archipelago and the feeling that everything is possible”
— Sofia’s father Erik Hellqvist in his wedding speech —
Five famous Swedish chefs designed the menu with dishes included crayfish, mussels, while asparagus with roe, smoked zander fish and a peach and raspberry tartlet with white chocolate, Champagne and peach sorbet for dessert.
The bride and groom selected a cake from pastry chef Fredrik Borgskog.
The cake includes pistache, strawberry, rhubarb among other things, with decorations like flowers made from melted sugar. The prince had a wish to have “pop rocks” in the cake, which will probably be surprise for the guests. Even this is one of the new innovative and creative things Sofia and Carl Philip have chosen for their wedding.
The evening ended with the traditional first dance of the newlyweds, Carl Philip and Sofia have opened the dance and then they invited all the other guests to join them.
